Gutter Summit 2026: Building Relationships and Growing the Gutter Industry

This September, I had the opportunity to attend Gutter Summit 2026 in New Orleans, representing Seamless Gutter Solutions and connecting with people from across the gutter industry.

I went into Gutter Summit expecting to learn, meet some new people, and come home with a few ideas that could help us continue improving SGS.

I came home with a whole lot more than that.

More Than Just a Conference

One of the biggest takeaways from Gutter Summit wasn't a particular product, piece of equipment, or sales strategy. It was the people.

I had the opportunity to meet and spend time with some of the biggest names and most knowledgeable people in the gutter industry. These are contractors, business owners, manufacturers, educators, and industry professionals who have spent years building companies and helping move our trade forward.

We talked business. We talked installation practices. We talked products, employees, equipment, marketing, mistakes we've made, things we've learned, and where we believe the gutter industry is headed.

But most importantly, we built relationships.

Those conversations didn't end when everyone flew home from New Orleans.

Continuing the Conversation

Since Gutter Summit, I've continued networking and communicating with many of the people I met there.

The goal now is to keep those conversations going through regular roundtable discussions, podcast conversations, conferences, and weekly or monthly calls where we can share ideas, discuss challenges, and learn from one another.

There's an incredible amount of knowledge within this industry, and when good contractors and industry leaders are willing to put their heads together, everyone benefits.

We're competitors in some ways, but we're also part of the same trade.

There's plenty we can learn from each other.

Raising the Standard of the Gutter Industry

For me, this isn't just about growing Seamless Gutter Solutions.

It's about helping grow the gutter industry as a whole.

The more contractors communicate and share knowledge, the better we can become at installation, training, customer service, product selection, business operations, and educating homeowners about what a properly designed gutter system should actually look like.

There will always be something new to learn.

That's one of the reasons I believe it's important to surround yourself with people who challenge the way you think and are willing to share what they've learned through their own successes and failures.

If someone halfway across the country has figured out a better way to solve a problem, I want to hear about it.

And if something we've learned at SGS can help another contractor improve their company, I'm happy to share that too.

That's how an industry gets better.

Bringing That Knowledge Back to Our Customers

Ultimately, everything we learn comes back home with us.

When we discover better installation practices, new products, improved equipment, or better ways to operate our company, we can apply that knowledge right here at Seamless Gutter Solutions.

Our customers throughout New York's Capital Region may never attend one of these conferences or sit in on an industry roundtable—and they shouldn't have to.

That's our job.

We invest the time into learning, networking, testing products, talking with manufacturers, and communicating with other professionals so we can continue providing our customers with better solutions.

We don't want to simply keep doing something a certain way because that's how it's always been done.

We want to keep improving.

Next Stop: The Gutter Con

Gutter Summit 2026 was only the beginning.

Many of the people I connected with in New Orleans will be together again in January at The Gutter Con, and I'm looking forward to continuing the conversations and relationships we've already started.

Between conferences, roundtables, podcasts, and regular conversations with other professionals in the industry, we're going to continue learning from each other and looking for ways to push the trade forward.

I'm incredibly excited about the relationships that came out of Gutter Summit and where they may lead over the coming years.

Seamless Gutter Solutions has grown tremendously by constantly learning, adapting, and refusing to settle for "good enough."

That's not changing.

We're going to continue investing in our company, our people, our products, and our knowledge—and we're proud to be building relationships with others who want to do the same for the gutter industry.

The goal is simple: keep learning, keep improving, and help raise the standard of the industry together.
